In a rapid succession of updates, vivo has outlined the aggressive expansion of its OriginOS 6 intelligent capabilities and third-party ecosystem. These developments range from industry certifications to practical integrations across smart home, productivity, and automotive sectors.
AI Intelligence and Industry Validation
At WAIC 2026, vivo announced that its terminal AI capabilities officially received the L3 Intelligent Grading certification—the highest level currently recognized in the national standard. This validates vivo's shift towards proactive AI, specifically highlighting features like Jovi Circle Search (小V圈搜) and Jovi Suggest (小V建议), which transition the OS from passively answering queries to actively anticipating user intent.
Deepened Third-Party Service Integration
To fuel its proactive "Jovi Suggest" engine, OriginOS 6 is heavily integrating domestic super-apps at the system level:
- Douyin Integration: Group buy coupons and nearby store recommendations from Douyin are now surfaced natively within Jovi Suggest, preemptively reminding users of expiring deals without needing to open the app.
- Baidu Netdisk: Global Search now indexes Baidu Netdisk, allowing users to pull up cloud-stored files and photos directly from the home screen downward swipe.
Cross-Device Productivity and Automotive Handoff
vivo is also shoring up its cross-platform continuity (emphasized particularly on the new vivo X Fold6). New features include Dual-Device Flexible Editing (双机随心编), allowing users to instantly hand off a document from their phone to a larger tablet for editing without file transfers.
Furthermore, vivo extended its ecosystem to vehicles via a partnership with Great Wall Motor (长城汽车), introducing Car-Machine Tap-to-Transfer (车机一碰传) for seamless navigation handoffs.
