During the WAIC 2026 Pioneer Forum, Honor officially unveiled the world's first "Robot Phone," introducing a significant shift in how MagicOS is positioned. Instead of a traditional smartphone operating system, Honor is now branding it as a "partner-type multi-modal intelligent OS".
According to a series of official posts from Honor's Weibo, this device aims to bridge the gap between cold digital screens and the physical world. Honor described this terminal innovation as the beginning of bringing "intelligence and life-sense" to consumer hardware.
Physical Interaction and AI Capabilities
In hands-on demonstrations at the event, including coverage by CCTV reporters, the Robot Phone's physical design allowed it to act as its own stabilizing gimbal for filming. More importantly from a software perspective, the built-in "AI Brain" demonstrated the ability to orchestrate multiple apps with a single command.
Market Reception
The market response to this new hardware and OS paradigm appears exceptionally strong. Honor reported that first-day reservations for this new form factor have already exceeded those of any previous Honor flagship device.
